Lance also had a nice run to escape a collapsing pocket. He beat a good blitz with a solid sideline throw to Brandon Aiyuk. The one incompletion also almost beat a blitz but the 49ers defense is very good…
One of the most interesting aspects of the training camp this year was the quarterback rotation, as the 49ers experimented with splitting reps between Trey Lance, Sam Darnold, and Brandon Allen. Shanahan shared his thoughts on the rotation by stating, "We just rotated the ones each period, so they just switched off each period who went with them and the next guy took the twos."
Wide receiver Danny Gray gained attention for his hard work during the offseason, with Shanahan acknowledging his progress and overall shape at the camp. He also praised second-year player Brandon Aiyuk, who had a noteworthy catch during training, as he continues to develop and improve his skills.

When asked about safety Talanoa Hufanga's impressive play, breaking up a deep pass to Danny Gray, Shanahan responded, "That was a hell of a play because I thought Danny beat the corner on it. I'm curious to see the film, how he got over there so fast because I was told that we looked him off pretty good but he got there fast so that was an impressive play."
In regard to the team's overall mindset and expectations, Shanahan expressed his concerns about keeping players from getting overly eager and risking injury. He highlighted the importance of focusing on technique and preparation before hitting the field at full speed.
