Strong-Arm Robbery Strikes at the Heart of Piedmont Community

According to a Facebook post by the Piedmont Police Department, a strong-arm robbery occurred at 4:58 pm near the intersection of Rose Ave. and Echo Ave.

The victim, who believes she was followed home from a bank in Oakland, was confronted as she parked her car in front of her house; two masked suspects approached her vehicle, broke the window, and grabbed her purse, in an encounter that left the victim with minor injuries as she struggled to hold onto her belongings, a horrifying ordeal that serves as a wakeup call for residents to always stay aware of their surroundings and be cautious of any suspicious activity.

After the victim accrued minor injuries from the shattered glass, the suspects fled the scene in a silver BMW, heading towards Piedmont Ave., leaving the shaken victim and a neighborhood now concerned for their safety.
