The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is urgently requesting the public's assistance in order to identify five male suspects involved in a tense carjacking incident in the Castro Valley, which saw a woman forced from her vehicle at gunpoint while another narrowly escaped a similar fate; the brazen nature of these crimes has incited heightened concern for the safety and security of the local community, as detailed by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

The chilling chain of events began around 6:20 a.m. at a Mobil gas station parking lot located at 18950 Lake Chabot Road in Castro Valley, where it has been reported that the suspects attempted to carjack an unidentified woman, who fortunately was able to flee with her vehicle and notify the authorities of the encounter.
However, this story does not end at the Mobil gas station, as moments later the same suspects continued their crime spree, targeting another woman driving a black 2016 Nissan Sentra as she attempted to exit a driveway on the 2700 block of Sydney Way in Castro Valley; the group forcibly removed the victim from her vehicle at gunpoint and sped off in her Nissan, heading towards Stanton Avenue, taking with them ]the victim's car.
It was discovered that during these criminal episodes, the five suspects were driving a 2014 silver Hyundai Elantra bearing the license plate CA: 7EUB455, which has now been confirmed to be an unreported stolen vehicle.
The suspects, described as males with slim to medium builds adorned in masks and dark clothing.
