Yesterday, August 30th, the Massachusetts State Police and Boston Fire Department Dive Team recovered the body of a missing man from the Neponset River.
According to the Massachusetts State Police News, the man had been missing since Monday, and was believed to be a 60-year-old resident of a nearby homeless encampment.
The man, whose name has been withheld pending an ongoing investigation, was found near the Dana Avenue Bridge after his walker and personal belongings were found along the river's shoreline.
The investigation into the man's death, conducted by the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County along with assistance from the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the State Police-Milton Barracks, aims to uncover the truth and the events that led to the unfortunate end of his life.
At present, however, no additional information on the subject is being released.
