Locals within the floating homes community, among others, were directly impacted by the power outages that followed the vehicle accident. The crash not only knocked down power lines but also left some customers without water service, simultaneously, due to a damaged fire hydrant. In response, the PG&E Outage Center estimated that power would be restored by 7:15 p.m. the same evening.
Authorities have cautioned citizens to avoid the affected area, specifically Coloma Street between Bridgeway and Gate 5 Road, and seek alternative routes towards Highway 101. While Bridgeway remains open for the time being, Coloma Street is temporarily closed as repair and, water district crews work tirelessly on site to rectify the damages and restore essential services for the residents per the City of Sausalito.
