
This Monday, August 29th,, a woman in Fall River was unexpectedly confronted by a coyote while walking her dog near the South Winds Apartments. According to CBS News, the aggressive coyote bit the woman's legs and left arm, leaving her with non-life threatening wounds. She was subsequently taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
The woman's ordeal did not end there, as the coyote continued its rampage by attempting to attack members of the Fall River Country Club grounds crew. As reported by NBC 10 News, the employees managed to fend off the ferocious animal until police arrived on the scene. The officers then euthanized the coyote to prevent further attacks and sent its body for rabies testing.
The woman picked up her dog when she saw the aggressive stance the coyote was taking toward her pet, The Herald News reported. In response, the coyote turned its attention to her, biting her legs and left arm before she managed to scare it away by screaming at it.
