MiaRochel Jones, a 34-year-old woman living with various mental health conditions and health issues, disappeared from her mother's residence located at Camden Avenue in Hayward. The Alameda County Sheriff's Office has taken to Twitter to seek public assistance in the effort to safely locate Jones, who is considered at risk due to her diagnoses of bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, and an unknown liver condition causing her to have seizures. According to the missing person flyer released by the Sheriff's Department, she is developmentally delayed, with the mental acuity of a teenager.
Jones, who is familiar with public transit, particularly the AC transit buses, is believed to have left her mother's phoneless and without her purse. She has no money with her. Jones stands at 5'1" tall, weighs approximately 260 pounds, and has a short black afro. She was last seen wearing a blue sleeping gown and pink slippers. As a frequenter of the Creekside Shopping Center in Hayward and the Bayfair Mall in San Leandro, Jones is also known around the areas of Hayward, San Leandro, and Oakland.
In the tweet published earlier today, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office urges the public to assist in the search for Jones by sharing the missing person flyer and contacting the Eden Township Substation in San Leandro with any information that could help locate her safely.
