Yesterday morning, August 29th, a desperate high-speed chase unfolded as police attempted to apprehend a Massachusetts man who allegedly engaged in multiple traffic violations. The man, identified as Kyle Cochran, 25, of East Sandwich, led state troopers on a perilous pursuit before ultimately being located and arrested at his own home, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

Troopers Michael Brito and Justin Glavin, both from the State Police Bourne-Barracks, initiated the pursuit when they observed Cochran's 2017 Toyota RAV4 committing several marked lanes violations on Route 28. However, after attempting to conduct a motor vehicle stop, Cochran quickly reversed and fled northbound at a high speed. Officers made the decision to break off pursuit due to safety concerns, but the hunt for Cochran was far from over.

As reported on the Massachusetts State Police website, fellow troopers soon spotted the RAV4 again on Route 6 eastbound, where they once more tried to stop Cochran. Once again, the man refused to cooperate and swiftly sped away.

Realizing their pursuit conditions threatened public safety, the officers were forced to break contact with Cochran's vehicle near Quaker Meetinghouse Road in Sandwich.

Troopers Brito and Glavin then made their way to the registered address of the RAV4 in East Sandwich. It was here that the troopers discovered Cochran's vehicle and the man himself, who was in the process of making a hurried entrance into his residence. Kyle Cochran was subsequently arrested without any further difficulty and is now facing multiple charges.

Among the charges, Cochran is to be arraigned at Falmouth District Court for operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, use of a motor vehicle without authority, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, speeding, and marked lanes violation, as outlined by the Massachusetts State Police.
