In an announcement made on Sunday, motorists were warned of significant delays expected due to roadway maintenance which started Monday, at the intersection of East Tabor Avenue and Sunset Avenue according to a the report. With construction expected to impact traffic flow, drivers are advised to either avoid the area, if possible, or simply allow ample time for their commutes.

Besides the delays, parking restrictions will also be enforced in and around the construction zone. 'NO PARKING' signs have been placed on barricades in anticipation of the roadworks, and vehicles parked in these areas before Monday may be towed away at the owner’s expense.

SF Gate also confirms that all emergency vehicles will still have access to the area during construction. This reassures residents that there will be no hindrance to emergency assistance from fire, medical, or law enforcement personnel.
