Yesterday night, a tragic accident unfolded in Randolph, Massachusetts when a motorcyclist collided with another vehicle, leaving the rider gravely injured and in critical condition. The crash took place around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and Canton Street, according to NBC Boston.
The collision involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, as both sources reported. Responding police officers found the smashed motorcycle while the other vehicle, an SUV, had front-end damage. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, noted by WCVB.
While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, medical professionals are optimistic about the motorcyclist's recovery, stating that their injuries are non-life-threatening, as per MassLive. Another factor that could alleviate worries is the accident location, in a relatively populated area, which potentially increased the chances of a swift response by emergency personnel.
Police temporarily closed part of the road for investigation purposes, during which traffic had to find alternative routes. The road has since reopened, as mentioned in a MassLive article.
