Less than a week from the tragic event, on August 24th, Napa Co. Sheriff's Detectives managed to identify and apprehend the alleged perpetrator.

Lester Alberto Valenzuela, a 30-year-old resident of Vallejo, has been accused of striking the pedestrian while driving a red Pontiac Vibe at approximately 12:49 AM on Highway 29 near Kimberly Drive. Valenzuela reportedly failed to stop at the scene, instead choosing to flee the area. At the hands of Napa Co. Sheriff's Detectives, Valenzuela now faces the consequences of his alleged crime, charged with hit and run resulting in injury.
