On August 22, 2023, a deceased adult male with at least one gunshot wound was discovered in an unhoused encampment on the 400 block of Redwood St. The victim's identity has yet to be revealed, pending next of kin notification by the Solano County Coroner’s Office.
This marks the 14th homicide in Vallejo in 2023. The Vallejo Police Department and the Department of Justice are working together to process the crime scene, but the motive and circumstances behind this grisly incident still remain under investigation.
