
An alarming turn of events unfolded on the serene Mass Central Rail Trail near Boston Post Road in Weston, Massachusetts, yesterday at approximately 12:30 p.m. This once safe and frequented area was the site of a disturbing act of violence, when a 30-year-old man was attacked, stabbed, and robbed by two unknown individuals, according to CBS News Boston.
The victim contacted the police after realizing he had been injured, saying that he had been walking along the trail, commonly used as a walking path, when the assailants demanded his personal belongings and then stabbed him, as Boston 25 News reported Miraculously, two good Samaritans found the injured man and promptly called for assistance, with the victim later being transported to a Boston hospital. His injuries were thankfully deemed non-life-threatening.
The occurrence of such an incident on the Weston rail trail, an area often bustling with life and activity, has shocked and unsettled local residents. Matt Geyer, a frequent user of the trail, expressed his surprise and dismay in an interview with Boston 25 News, acknowledging that the trail had previously been perceived as "very safe."
