A 19-year-old woman was fatally shot on Howard Street last night, resulting in a wave of grief among her loved ones, and leaving a community questioning the safety of their streets, according to NBC Boston.
Yellow crime scene tape and evidence markers were seen at the crime scene.
Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made as of yet, and the victim's name remains undisclosed at this time, reported by Boston 25 News.
At this stage of the investigation, it is unclear if the 19-year-old woman was targeted or in the wrong place at the wrong time.
As the investigation carries on, troopers from the District Attorney's Office are working alongside Lawrence police in pursuit of answers.
