Historically, the CBP plays a vital role in intercepting and apprehending suspects with outstanding warrants. In fact, last year alone, the CBP reported the arrest of more than 8,000 individuals with active warrants, per U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics. The majority of these cases often involve individuals attempting to avoid facing their charges with authorities.
