Earlier this week, a 22-year-old man found himself at the mercy of three unidentified assailants on the sidewalks of Chicago's 1900 block of E. 67th Street according to Chicago Police Department.
As they got closer to the victim, one of the attackers brandished a firearm, aiming it at the vulnerable, unsuspecting target.
Without hesitation, a burst of gunshots struck the young man in the groin. Grievously injured, a struggle for survival unfolded as he sought refuge on a westbound bus, later being transported to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.
The incident, now under investigation by Area One Detectives.
