A 39-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the neck while outside on the 0-100 block of E. 101st Pl. at approximately 7:05 a.m today, according to Chicago Police.
As a white vehicle approached, shots rang out, leaving the victim in pain and uncertainty.
Rapidly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, the victim's condition was reported as stable.
The ongoing investigation by Area Two detectives has yet to yield any suspects in this harrowing crime.
