Yesterday, a baby girl was discovered abandoned near a school in the West Town neighborhood, 1800 block of West Ohio Street, of Chicago according to ABC7 Chicago.
The infant, believed to be about one year old, was attended to by Chicago police officers before being taken to Lurie Children's Hospital in good condition.
The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has since taken the child into their care, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
