A 20-year-old man named Jayvun Robertson was charged with one count of armed robbery with a firearm, following a shocking crime that placed the safety of a 45-year-old woman in jeopardy.
Robertson had been apprehended yesterday, September 12, by members of the Great Lakes Regional Task Force in Alsip, Illinois.
According to the Chicago Police Department, earlier this year, in March , Robertson had, at gunpoint, taken property from a middle-aged female victim in the 4900 block of S. Dorchester Ave., in the 2nd District of Chicago.
The incident took place at around 5:45 a.m., a time when the victim was particularly vulnerable to such acts of violence.
After a thorough investigation and identification process, Robertson was taken into custody, with the case now awaiting a hearing at the Central Bond Court.
