Earlier today, a 27-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in the 14th District on the 2500 block of N. Maplewood.
According to a Chicago Police press release, the incident took place at approximately 11:35 a.m.
The young man, who shall remain nameless for his security, was walking on the sidewalk when a vehicle approached, halting at his side.
An unknown male offender emerged from within, brandishing a handgun and demanding that the victim relinquish his property.
Reluctantly, the victim complied, watching as the assailant returned to the vehicle and sped off southbound on Maplewood.
