
A 41-year-old woman in Washington Heights fell victim to a heinous and inhuman act earlier today. A man, 39 years old, demanded entrance to her South Side residence on the 9000 block of South Loomis Street, where he subsequently battered and attempted to sexually assault her before fleeing the scene according to the Chicago Tribune.
The Chicago Police Department reports that detectives are diligently investigating the case.
As per a Fox 32 Chicago report, the offender demanded the victim to open her apartment door around 4:30 a.m. She complied, and the man began his assault, fleeing the scene shortly after an unknown direction. Notably, no injuries were reported.
The attacker remains at large, eluding police custody.
