An assault and robbery in the neighborhood surrounding Montgomery High School unfolded yesterday, when a 15-year-old student of the school found himself accosted by two unknown suspects, promptly after leaving the school campus the previous day.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD), the victim's shoes were taken by the suspects after being attacked and sustained minor injuries.
While the incident was not immediately reported to the police or the school, it is currently being investigated as gang-related due to the specific colors of clothing worn by the suspects and the shoes taken from the victim.
Despite the reluctance of the assaulted student to provide further information, it was soon revealed that there had been threats made online yesterday, presumably connected to the assault. SRPD also believes that the attack had been witnessed by other students, and cell phone footage of the violence possibly exists.
