
The Boston Police Department reported the arrest of two men, Christopher Summers, 51, of Boston, and Gary Summers, 54, of Brockton, on firearm-related charges. The arrest took place in the Dorchester neighborhood in the early hours of September 24, 2023.
Around 12:40 AM, police responded to an alert of a suspect with a firearm on 5 Perth Street. Upon the officer's arrival, they spotted a man corresponding to the description in a car with another person. The two men were asked exit the vehicle and were subsequently handcuffed.
The police, while carrying out an investigation, found four firearms inside the car. These included a Springfield Armory XD with thirteen rounds in its magazine, a Smith & Wesson 1911 with eight rounds in its magazine, a Ruger EC9s with seven rounds in the magazine, and a Kel-Tec P3AT with six rounds in its magazine. The officers also recovered a plastic bag containing seven loose rounds of 9MM ammunition, illegal drugs in multiple plastic bags and $2,100 in cash.
Unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large-capacity device for feeding, intent to distribute class B to distribute class C, intent to distribute class E, and receiving stolen property are the charges the suspects will be facing. The arraignment is set to take place at Dorchester District Court, according to the same report as noted by the Boston Police Department .
