Earlier this week, a man whose face had been making the virtual rounds on social media took matters into his own hands.
Claudio Manuel Vidal-Carvajal, a 41-year-old suspect on the Boston Police Department's (BPD) Wanted List, walked into District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) and turned himself in according to the police report made public earlier today.
The arrest came on the heels of the BPD's concerted effort to use social media platforms to appeal for information and the apprehension of individuals with outstanding warrants.
Claudio Manuel Vidal-Carvajal was no exception, having been sought in connection with an armed robbery, assault and battery, and assault with a dangerous weapon, with his story disseminated through the digital space according to Boston Police Department report.
