
In the midst of the ongoing battle with gun violence in Chicago, yet another incident adds to the city's grim statistics.
As of yesterday, September 23, a 34-year-old male was standing on the sidewalk when he was approached by an assailant who fired shots at him, leaving him with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
Chicago Fire Department transported the victim to Christ Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Area Two detectives are investigating the case, and as of now, no one is in custody.
