
Today, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) announced the arrest of Cornillus Acker, a 31-year-old man from the 2700 block of W. 84th St., Chicago, Illinois.
Cornillus is being held in association with an armed robbery incident at a retail business.
Acker faces one felony count of robbery armed with a firearm, and one felony count of aggravated unlawful restraint, according to the CPD charge release.
The report states that Acker was arrested on Thursday, September 7th, in the 600 block of N. Springfield Ave.
He was identified as the offender who, on May 13, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., entered a retail business in the 4500 block of S. Cicero Ave. (8th District), taking property from within at gunpoint.
Acker is scheduled to appear in the Central Bond Court at 2600 S. California on September 8, 2023. No additional information is available at this time.
