Yesterday, a male juvenile, aged 15, was arrested after being linked to two counts of armed robbery in the 14th District of Chicago, as reported on the Chicago Police Department's official website. According to the press release, he was involved in a series of incidents that took place last week.
The suspect allegedly participated in taking property at gunpoint from a 25-year-old male in the 1700 block of N. Maplewood Ave, as well as committing an armed robbery against a 24-year-old male minutes earlier on the same day in the 1700 block of N. Rockwell St.
The juvenile offender is also accused of receiving, possessing, or selling a stolen vehicle, which further adds to the gravity of his charges.
Due to the nature of the charges and the age of the offender, the case will be handled within the juvenile justice system during a hearing at 1100 S. Hamilton today.
