Yesterday, an unsettling incident has shaken Chicago's public transit system.
A 55-year-old male transit employee was battered by 35-year-old Monte Murphy.
According to the Chicago Police Department, Murphy was arrested and charged with one felony count of aggravated battery of a transit employee.
The court has scheduled a detention hearing for September 27, 2023.
