A mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint yesterday, September 9th, in the Grand Crossing area. The mail carrier, who thankfully did not suffer any injuries, was robbed by three men armed with handguns as they demanded postal property before fleeing the scene, according to WGNTV.
The crime occurred just before 6 p.m., on the mail carrier's route in the 7700 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue. Despite the apparent violence of the robbery, the postal worker was not injured and has since continued with their duties. The incident is being investigated by both the Chicago Police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, with no arrests made as of yet.
