As the city of Concord strives for safer and more efficient roads, the Citywide Traffic System Upgrade Project marks a renewed commitment to improve travel for its citizens. Scheduled to begin work this week, the project will lead to upgrades at three prominent locations, as initially reported on the City of Concord's Facebook today.
The intersections slated for upgrades are Monument Boulevard at Oak Grove Road/Meadow Lane, Monument Boulevard at Mohr Lane, and Monument Boulevard at Detroit Avenue. Work is due to commence tonight and continue throughout the week. However, this does come with a word of caution, as traffic signals during the working hours – which span from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. – will be either flashing or completely dark, urging drivers to exercise extra care and follow all construction signs posted in the area.
