On Sunday, September 24th, a deadly shooting rattled the quiet community of Central Falls, Rhode Island as a young Hispanic man found himself brutally attacked. According to a WPRI article, the victim, only described as a man in his 20s, tragically lost his life.
As reported on TurnTo10, Central Falls police responded to the scene near Dexter Street and Sumner Avenue, where they found the victim lifeless, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators initially pieced together a grim picture of the man's final moments. The victim, an employee at a nearby barbershop, had just finished his shift when he walked to his car at around 9 p.m. The suspect, per the same WPRI article, seemingly waited for his moment to strike.
Central Falls police captain, Craig Viens, confirmed this sentiment, stating that "all indications are leading to this being a targeted event and that this victim was targeted."
Despite the information gathered, no one is in custody.
