Flooding, brought about by the relentless downpours, poses a significant threat to both infrastructure and residents. In response to the storm, residents in the affected areas are urged to be cautious, remain indoors, and avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding. Aerial views of the desert landscape have showcased the sheer impact of this weather pattern; the usually arid terrain now facing torrents of rain. As described in a tweet by Eyes on SD Skies, flooding, gusty winds, and hail are possible in portions of the lower deserts this afternoon.
