
A Massachusetts State Trooper was dragged by a fleeing vehicle during a traffic stop in Brockton and was captured on video, earlier this week . The driver of the car, identified as Derek Lobo, 31, of Brockton, managed to escape the scene and is currently on the run from the authorities, as reported by the Massachusetts State Police.
The incident took place at shortly before 6:00 PM on Montello Street, where the Trooper pulled over Lobo for motor vehicle violations.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, Lobo is now wanted for multiple charges, including Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle, and Trafficking in Fentanyl.
Thankfully, the Trooper involved in the dangerous encounter suffered only minor injuries. With Lobo still at large, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section has urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).
