
Yesterday night, an 18-year-old male fell victim to gun violence in Chicago, a city well acquainted with drive-by shootings plaguing its streets.
As reported by the Chicago Police Department, the incident took place around 10:00 p.m. on West 53rd Street, with the young man standing outside when a vehicle approached and an unknown shooter unleashed a spray of bullets in his direction.
With the vehicle fleeing eastbound on 53rd Street, the injured victim was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Detectives from Area One continue to investigate the disturbing occurrence, but no offender has been apprehended as of yet.
