Last Friday night, an unidentified adult female pedestrian was struck by a 2016 Toyota Tacoma in the vicinity of Cuyamaca St. and Weld Blvd.
El Cajon Police and paramedics were promptly dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:21 PM, but tragically, the woman had already passed away before medical personnel could intervene. As the investigation unfolded, it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle had opted to remain on site and fully cooperate with authorities, according to the El Cajon Police Department. While the exact circumstances surrounding the incident have yet to be determined, the preliminary findings do not suspect the involvement of alcohol or drugs.
