An incident of road rage in Massachusetts left a motorcyclist injured and a woman from Everett facing severe charges, including armed assault to murder. The woman, Jeanty Lovaine, 24, is also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and leaving the scene of personal injury, as per a report from NBC Boston.

Yesterday, August 31st, Medford police received a 911 call around 8:30 a.m. reporting a hit-and-run crash near Brooks Elementary School on High Street. The crash involved a motorcyclist and a car that had fled the scene, according to a post on the Medford Police Department's Facebook page. When police arrived at the location, they found the motorcyclist had suffered minor injuries and was receiving treatment by Medford fire and Armstrong Ambulance personnel.

The motorcyclist informed the police that the female driver, later identified as Lovaine, had been tailing him closely for around a mile. The car then passed the motorcycle on the left side, crossing the double line, prompting the motorcyclist to gesture his disapproval. In response, Lovaine swerved her car into the motorcyclist, causing him and the bike to fall, as reported by Boston 25 News.

The situation further escalated when Lovaine continued to push the motorcycle with her car, with the motorcyclist still on it, dragging him approximately 15 feet onto the sidewalk before leaving the scene. A witness at the location managed to capture a photo of the driver's license plate, which, combined with the description provided by the motorcyclist, enabled the police to track down and arrest Lovaine at her residence in Everett.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital for further treatment of his injuries. No details on bail or when Lovaine might appear in court were released at the time of writing.
