A tragic accident occurred in the Alta Vista neighborhood of San Diego on Friday, September 22. At around 8:32 p.m., a 42-year-old woman, who remains unidentified, was pushing a shopping cart in the street along the shoulder of eastbound 5700 Division Street when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the woman with fatal injuries. According to San Diego County Crime Stoppers, a witness described the suspect's vehicle as a dark, four-door car.

Investigators have been searching for both the culprit and the vehicle involved in this tragic incident. So far, authorities have managed to gather enough evidence to confirm that the suspect's vehicle is a 2011-2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The vehicle is possibly black and should have significant damage to the right front corner and windshield. Additionally, it will be missing its right-side mirror and the plastic liner from inside the right front wheel well.

In an effort to identify the driver and put an end to their unlawful flight from responsibility, San Diego County Crime Stoppers has announced a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone providing information that leads to an arrest in the case.
