As reported by the Boston Police Department, Victor Vega, 32, of Roxbury, and Reyes-Gonzalez, 29, of Phenix, Alabama, were caught during a traffic stop due to the lack of lights on their vehicle, leading to the discovery of firearms that further investigations have revealed as illegal.

The firearms were later determined to be a Taurus GX4 with ten rounds in the magazine, a Glock 43x with ten rounds in the magazine, and a Taurus GX4 with eleven rounds in the magazine. Officers also recovered nineteen loose 9mm rounds of ammunition from Vega’s pocket.

Vega and Reyes-Gonzalez was placed under arrest and charged with: Two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, Two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition, Two counts of unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and two counts of defacement of a firearm serial number. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
