Earlier this month, a teenage girl discovered an alarming surprise in the first-class bathroom of an American Airlines flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Boston. The girl, who wishes to remain anonymous for privacy reasons, found a hidden camera, allegedly taped to the toilet seat by a flight attendant.
According to Boston 25 News, the incident began when the girl decided to use the coach bathroom located in the rear of the plane. A male flight attendant allegedly approached her and directed her instead to the first-class bathroom, claiming it would be quicker. The attendant then entered the bathroom himself in order to "wash his hands," as the girl recalled, before stepping back out and allowing her to use the restroom. It was then that the teenager noticed the hidden camera taped to the toilet seat.

After alerting her mother of the disconcerting discovery, the girl and her family attempted to confront the male flight attendant, whose face "went white," as the father told New York Post. The flight attendant attempted to explain that he had no prior knowledge of the camera. Upon landing, the family communicated the incident to state police, who swiftly escorted the male flight attendant off the plane. It remains unclear what actions, if any, have been taken against him, as no arrests have been reported.
The family of the teenage girl has expressed dissatisfaction with American Airlines, claiming the company has failed to make proper contact with them since the incident occurred nearly two weeks ago. In an interview with Fox News, the girl's mother remarked, "I have no idea why they didn't reach out to us. I mean, all weekend I thought, surely they'll be calling any minute."
The case remains under investigation, with both the FBI and Massachusetts State Police involved.
