
Today, the Chicago Police Department revealed Gabriel and Adrian Garzon, siblings aged 20, were taken into custody on charges of aggravated vehicular hijacking involving firearms. A detention hearing is set for today at the 2600 S. California courthouse, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The CPD's charge release reports that the Garzon duo was originally apprehended on September 28, 2023. They reportedly hijacked a vehicle at gunpoint from a 36-aged male in the 7000 block of S. Washtenaw (8th District) as per the report. The Vehicular Hijacking Task Force executed their arrest.
The Garzon brothers' case is an instance of the crime in the city. Their arrest showcases the effectiveness of the special units such as the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force, designed for such situations.
