Yesterday, September 28, Cook County Sheriff's Police officers in Robbins conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle whose occupants fled the scene on foot. According to the department's Facebook post, the individuals were apprehended after a short foot pursuit, with officers recovering a weapon equipped with a scope from one of the passengers.
Neither the passenger nor the driver of the vehicle held valid licenses to own a firearm, resulting in the approval of felony charges. The names of the individuals involved have not been released.
