
In the city of Springfield, Massachusetts, a food delivery individual was threatened by a man, wielding an illegal firearm. According to the Springfield Police Department's official statement, officers were called to High Street on earlier on September 13th, as a victim reported being accosted by a man flashing a gun.
The perpetrator, soon identified as 45-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez-Diaz, had allegedly menaced the victim with a loaded firearm just as the victim was trying to make a food delivery.
Thankfully, the victim managed to evade danger, escaping the scene unharmed. A swift response by the police officers led to the location of Rodriguez-Diaz, who was found to be carrying an illegal loaded gun with a defaced serial number.
The suspect has been arrested and is now facing multiple charges, including carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number during the commission of a felony, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Moreover, Rodriguez-Diaz was also charged with a default warrant pertaining to operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
