Yesterday, September 27, a 26-year-old male found himself the target of a gunman while standing on the front porch of a residence in the 7000 block of S. Wood in Chicago's South Side according to the Chicago Police Department.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was struck in the right leg and subsequently transported to Christ Hospital in good condition.
The offender remains unknown as Area One Detectives continue the investigation into this strangely commonplace occurrence in a city that has seen its fair share of gun-related incidents.
