Earlier this month, the renowned New York-style pizzeria, Joe's Pizza, has expanded its reach into the heart of Harvard Square at 3 Brattle Street, Cambridge. The celebrated establishment began serving their classic slices from the Greenwich Village icon for pizza enthusiasts in the area.
Joe's Pizza has been a late-night staple in New York City since its inception in 1975. The eatery's owner, Joe Pozzuoli, expressed excitement about the Cambridge location and sharing their rich pizza history with the Boston community, as he revealed to the Boston Globe. Pozzuoli described their creations as a "classic New York slice" that carries the essence of tried-and-true traditional pizzas from 1975, without trying to change the game.
The arrival of Joe's Pizza presents an exceedingly awaited opportunity for Boston locals and visitors to experience their signature offerings, such as classic cheese slices, pepperoni, white, caprese, Sicilian square, and Supreme. The pizzeria's menu also includes a house salad and various selections of sodas.
This Harvard Square location is a milestone for Joe's Pizza, marking its first foray into the New England region. The pizzeria chain has expanded to seven different locations throughout the United States, spanning New York, Miami, and Michigan, as shared by manager Tony Cosentino. Cambridge's Joe's Pizza is to comfortably cater late-night cravings with their hours of operation extending until 2 a.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and 3 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, as cited by Boston.com.
