Alameda County has reached a labor agreement with the Alameda County Prosecutors Association. The newly adopted Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) accounts for unprecedented support for in-house attorneys.

As the District Attorney's office ensured under DA Price's leadership, deputy district attorneys' compensation and benefits now align with some of the highest-paid DA offices in California, strengthening the County's legal framework, according to the Office of the District Attorney, Alameda County.

Along with augmented salaries, this agreement now includes premium benefits for Homicide duty and the DAO Critical Response Team. Furthermore, it ensures new benefits for training and education. Interestingly, the MOU also entails a commitment from DA Price towards notifying deputies of routine transfers at least seven days before their effective date – a new practice adopted under her administration.

Behind this MOU, District Attorney Price, her team, and Chief Assistant Otis Bruce, Jr., engaged in a series of County-led negotiations between January to June, establishing new terms and conditions for the betterment of DAO personnel. This MOU reflects the dedication of DA Price's administration in providing a safe and pleasant working environment to all office employees.
