The Los Angeles Police Department's Central Traffic Division is gearing up for a heartfelt endeavor in giving back to the community. On October 1, the LAPD will host the annual Cops 4 Tots Car Show, a noble tradition marked by 23 years of raising funds in support of the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and other local children's charities, as announced on the LAPD Newsroom.
Since its inception in 1996, this event has aimed to assist a child in need of a bone marrow transplant, by addressing the financial burden that often weighs on the families involved. With a burgeoning reputation and a growing number of attendees, the Cops 4 Tots Car Show continues to extend its charitable reach, offering aid to children and families impacted by traffic-related tragedies in the Los Angeles area.
The rain or shine event will be held at the Los Angeles Police Academy, located at 1880 North Academy Road, Los Angeles, CA 90012. With free admission for spectators, attendants will be greeted with a festive atmosphere, live music and non-alcoholic drinks. Car enthusiasts who desire to showcase their vehicles can enjoy a $30 pre-registration fee, while day-of registration costs $40, all of which go towards the cause.
Those interested in registering a vehicle or inquiring further about the event are encouraged to contact Central Traffic Division Motor Officer Ciro Ochoa or Sergeant Juan Acosta at 213-833-3745 as per the LAPD's announcement.
