
A heated dispute turned into a fatal shooting in West Pullman on the Far South Side of Chicago yesterday, Septermber 9th. A man was killed and a woman was gravely injured in the unfortunate incident, which police have characterized as a domestic dispute.
A person of interest has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned by authorities, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.
The victims, identified as Tyrell Parks, 30, and a 31-year-old woman, were found inside a residence in the 12000 block of South Prairie Avenue, after having been shot multiple times around 8 a.m. Fox 32 Chicago disclosed that both victims were rushed to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where Parks succumbed to his injuries, while the woman remains in critical condition.
Chicago police have described the attack as "domestic in nature" and have a person of interest they are questioning in connection to the shooting. The exact nature of the relationship between the victims and the person of interest remains unclear at this point.
