
Multiple trucks parked at a business near Kilbourn and Courtland in Chicago's Hermosa neighborhood caught fire on Tuesday.
The raging fire began shortly before 5 p.m. and appeared to emanate from two trucks before it gradually spread to engulf five in total, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
The Chicago Fire Department responded swiftly to the scene of the fire shortly after 5 p.m. Remarkably, the fire was struck out by 5:10 p.m., mitigating the potential for further catastrophic damage to both the trucks and any neighboring structures.
The rapid response by emergency services likely prevented a more devastating outcome, as bystander footage revealed the intensity of the conflagration that consumed the trucks.
As spectators the and the media recorded the mayhem of the fire from the ground, helicopters captured aerial footage, providing an all-encompassing perspective on the extraordinary ferocity of the blaze, as per CBS News.
