In a commendable move against narcotics, Naperville police have made an important arrest. Alejandro Urzua Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Aurora, was taken into custody on September 20, 2023. He is accused of selling drugs in the Naperville area, according to a statement by the Naperville Police Department.
A month-long investigation culminated in the arrest and a search of Urzua's residence, where officers recovered apparent cocaine and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking. Additionally, four firearms and cash were seized.
Urzua faces two counts of Unlawful Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class 1 felony. A juvenile was also temporarily detained during the arrest, but has since been released without charges, pending further investigation.
Yet, as the Naperville Police Department maintains, a charge is not a symbol of guilt – the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
