Earlier this week, a brazen fugitive from Brazil wanted for attempted murder was arrested in Braintree. According to the official statement published by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the 29-year-old Brazilian national has a convoluted history of unlawful entries into the United States.
The Brazilian national first entered the United States unlawfully in 2005, only to be arrested and released by the U.S. Border Patrol. Despite being ordered for removal by a federal immigration judge, the fugitive managed to voluntarily depart the country in 2012, only to unlawfully re-enter the country before February 2019.
ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd Lyons said: "This dangerous fugitive is no longer a threat to the community because of the incredible dedication of the officers of ERO Boston," Lyons said, as per the ICE statement.
